Garden City Blanks Liberal

These are tough times for the Liberal High School soccer team. The pre-season number one team is 2-4 after a 2-0 loss at Garden City Thursday evening. The cool dismal weather was fitting last night. Consider the Redskins have lost for of their last five, they were outscored by two WAC rivals 4-0 on the road this week, they played in the consolation game of the Wichita South Titan Classic, and maybe the most alarming stat is their 1-2 WAC record. Liberal has won 10 straight WAC soccer titles. They now have a week to practice before playing Blue Valley West next Friday, September 23.
