A familiar face was on the Clarendon bench yesterday as the Bulldogs beat the Saints 5-2. Former Bee Jay coach Chris Joblin coaches Clarendon. Joblin assisted coach Mike Silva at Clarendon and then for the BJ’s last summer. When Silva left the team for another job, Joblin coached the BJ"s at the NBC World Series with JUCO hall of famer and Seward head coach Galen McSpadden. The two teams will play again next week in Liberal. The Saints are 19-20 overall while Clarendon is 21-9.
The Saints play a key four game series at Hutchinson Friday and Saturday. The Friday double header begins at 3 p.m. with a 1 p.m. start Saturday on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
