Former Bee Jay Citelli Drafted by Rays

Former Liberal Bee Jay Cade Citelli was drafted Tuesday by the Tampa Bay Rays.  The Rays selected the right handed pitcher from the University of Houston in the 11th round.  He is 6’3″ 215 pounds and is from Prosper, Texas.   Citelli played for the Bee Jays in 2021.  He was 0-1 with with a 3.12 with 20 strikeouts and 12 walks.  That team went 29-8 and 27-5 to win  the Kansas Collegiate League.  Eric Olmstead was that team’s head coach.
