Farmers across the nation are taking
advantage of good crop prices to update their equipment.
Statistics released Thursday by the Association of Equipment
Manufacturers show sales of combines in February up more than 42
percent from the same month a year ago.
U.S. farmers bought 673 combines last month, compared with 473
combines sold in February 2010.
Farmers also bought 8,776 farm tractors in February, a 6.6
percent increase over the same month last year.
