Fans will once again select the People’s Choice winner at the Pancake Day Talent Show. The texting feature will be provided and set up by United Wireless, sponsor of this year’s talent show. At the conclusion of the show, audience members will be given a number to text and can vote for their favorite act.
The show will feature 22 acts competing for prize money and trophies in four divisions. Long-time Wichita broadcaster Dan Dillon will serve as emcee, and one of the judges will be past Olney Pancake Race winner Lesley Byrne.
The Pancake Day Talent Show is set for 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the James Maskus Auditorium at Liberal High School. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. Advance tickets may be purchased at the Pancake Day Hall of Fame; First National Bank in Liberal; or online at www.pancakeday.net <http://www.pancakeday.net> .
