Liberal families in need can pick up an application at the Seward County Health Dept. for a Liberal Elks Lodge Christmas Basket. Each basket will have a turkey, a gallon of milk, flour, eggs, stuffing, potatoes, sugar, canned goods and dinner rolls. Eligibility will be determined by the Liberal Elks.
The deadline has been extended, so applications must be returned to the Health Department before noon on Friday Dec. 19.Baskets will be delivered the morning of Saturday December 20, 2014.
Anyone wanting to donate to the Elks Christmas Basket fund can drop their donation off to the Elks Club after 5:30 Tuesday through Saturday or mail it to PO Box 613, Liberal, KS 67905.
