Edwin Sobalvarro is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior Edwin Sobalvarro is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Sobalvarro was second in both hurdle events at the WAC meet last week. He also helped the 4×400 relay team win gold and the 4×100 relay team take third. Sobalvarro is also the winner of the Iron Man Award going to the top male junior athlete at LHS. He competes in football, wrestling, powerlifting, and track. He has run the 110 hurdles in 15.03 and the 300 hurdles in 40.05. He and the Redskins compete at regionals in Wichita Friday at Friends University.
