Dusty Torres is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal sophomore Dusty Torres is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week. Torres won the 400, 200, 100, and the 4×400 relay at Winfield last week. He won the 100 in 11.35, the 200 in 22.99, the 400 in 51.63, and the 4×400 with Martin Ortiz, Ryan Doll, and Austn Mullens. Torres won the 400 in the regional as a freshman. He also plays football and basketball. He and the Redskins host the 5 State Relays Friday at the Gary Cornelsen Sports Complex with field events at 1:30 and the running events at 3:30. Dodge City, Hugoton, Holcomb, Ulysses, Guymon, Perryton, Goodwell, and Scott City are the teams.
