Prairie View Elementary will be hosting their annual Dual Language Lottery Mandatory Meeting on April 10th with 2 sessions, one at 8:30 am and the second session at 6:00 p.m. for students who will be entering kindergarten in August 2025. This is for parents living outside of the Prairie View boundaries and are interested in the dual language program; parents already living inside Prairie View’s boundaries will automatically be enrolled at Prairie View next year. Parents who live outside of the boundary MUST attend one of these mandatory meetings to be entered into the lottery.
Prairie View will only accept a limited number of kindergarten students from outside of the boundary this year to be a part of the six year program. The students will start kindergarten at Prairie View and continue the Dual Language Program until they move to middle school for 6th grade. The goal of the Dual Language Program is to teach each student in both English and Spanish, so they become biliterate and bilingual by the end of 5th grade.
The mission of Prairie View Elementary is to create a positive, multicultural environment to develop leaders with bilingual excellence.
