Driver Falls Asleep, Wrecks Vehicle

A one vehicle injury accident occurred Sunday morning at approximately 9:30am
on county road NS27 and county road EW20, approximately 1 mile west of Boise City in Cimarron County.
A 2003 Hyundai Elantra driven by Stran D Wagner, age 17 of Boise City, OK was southbound on county road NS27, when he fell asleep. The Hyundai departed roadway to the left, traveling approximately 100 feet before striking a tree.
Wagner was taken by personal vehicle to Cimarron Memorial Hospital in Boise City, OK. He was later transferred by Boise City EMS to BSA Hospital in Amarillo, TX where he was admitted in stable condition with arm injuries.
Seatbelts were in use at the time of the accident.
