The second annual Kansas MarketPlace will be held at the Dodge
House Hotel and Convention Center in Dodge City, Kansas on Tuesday, November
16 and Wednesday, November 17, 2010. The Kansas event is presented by
the Center for Rural Affairs and the Kansas Department of Commerce.
MarketPlace is an
event focused on energizing small businesses and rural communities. The
conference features strong, hands-on learning opportunities for
potential and existing business owners including farmers, ranchers,
mainstreet small businesses and home-based businesses as well as
community leaders, entrepreneurial women and youth interested in
entrepreneurship. The event is modeled after similar events held
annually in North Dakota and Nebraska.
The entrepreneurship event will offer various high quality educational
sessions and exhibitor booths with abundant networking opportunities.
The dynamic combination of expert presenters, essential service
providers, individuals already engaged in entrepreneurial activities,
and daylong opportunities for all to mix will prove very successful in
assisting Kansas’ own up and coming entrepreneurs.
Top-notch professionals will be presenting and numerous sectors of businesses and
organizations will be attending the event from around the state as well
as many other states.
Businesses and organizations have a chance
to tap into many outstanding marketing opportunities by having an
exhibit booth or through a sponsorship to MarketPlace. Sponsorship has
different levels, with a range of benefits to contributors. Those
interested in an exhibit booth in the “Resource Zone” or in a
sponsorship contact Joy Marshall, [email protected] or 402-614-5558. For
