Disappointment in Dodge City

The Seward volleyball team took a big step back Wednesday night in Dodge City. Number 14 Seward didn’t play like it in a 3-1 loss at DCCC (19-25, 22-25, 25-21, 21-25). Seward falls to 10-2 and second place at 3-1 in the Jayhawk West trailing 4-0 Barton. Dodge City is 8-5 overall and 3-2 in the Jayhawk West.

Courtney Geesing and Bailey McFerren combined for 27 of Seward’s 36 kills. Aislyn Karney had seven blocks in the loss.

Seward plays in Concordia against Cloud Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. Seward hosts Hutch Wednesday night at 6:30
