Destyni Lucero Signs at Friends

Liberal runner Destyni Lucero signed to run track and field at Friends University in Wichita. Lucero picked Friends over several other schools from Kansas and Colorado. Lucero qualified for state all four seasons for Liberal’s cross country program and has made state in two of three years for track.

In cross country, Lucero finished 34th as a senior, 28th at state as a junior and 39th as a sophomore and also qualified for state as a freshman. She will compete in track and field at Liberal High this spring.
