Derby Blanks Bee Jays

The Derby Twins allowed 22 runs against the El Dorado Broncos in there Jayhawk League opener. In two games against the Liberal Bee Jays, they have allowed two runs. Saturday night the Twins allowed three hits in a 5-0 win over the BJ’s at Panther Field in Derby. Liberal struck out 12 times in the loss.

The suddenly upstart Twins scored one in the second and two in the third against starter Kyle Dale who lasted three innings. Nick Jones pitched the other five innings and settled in after allowing two in the fourth. Seth Stevens had two of Liberal’s three hits.

The BJ’s are 5-2 and 1-2 in the Jayhawk while the Twins are 5-2 and 2-1 in the Jayhawk. The same two teams meet Sunday night at 7 in Derby on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
