A daily bus route from Colorado to
Kansas is ready to roll next week.
The “Beeline Express” will start its route from Wichita to
Pueblo, Colo., next Tuesday.
Prestige Bus Lines will launch the route with a special $1
ticket per trip all week.
Prestige says the route includes stops in Wichita, Hutchinson,
Dodge City, Garden City and Syracuse in Kansas. In Colorado, the
route will stop at Granada, Lamar, Las Animas, La Junta, Rocky
Ford, Fowler and Pueblo.
Company spokeswoman Betsy Donnelly says regular fares – $90 one
way or $171 roundtrip – will begin Nov. 16.
The Hutchinson News reports that the nearly 450-mile trip takes
nine hours.
Federal funds will be used to buy two new buses for each route
and pay operation expenses.
