Crash in Seward County

A Liberal woman lost control of her vehicle and was taken to the hospital on Tuesday.  The Kansas Highway Patrol reports 53 year old Lourdes Martinez of Liberal was driving a 1991 Mercury north on Seward County Road R.  The crash occurred about eight miles east of Liberal Tuesday afternoon at about 4:30.  For an unknown reason, the vehicle went slightly off the right side of the road.  The car reentered the road and over corrected entering the east ditch.  The vehicle rolled an unknown number of times and came to rest upright facing southeast.  Martinez was taken to Southwest Medical Center in Liberal with minor injuries.
