Crash in Construction Zone Injures Two

KSCB News - August 18, 2010 12:00 am

Two people are recovering from injuries after a crash in a construction zone on Highway 83 Tuesday afternoon in Haskell County. Fifty-two year old Marvin Lara of Spring, Texas and 51 year old Eric Solze of Garden City were taken to Southwest Medical Center with injuries. Solze was legally parked on 83 in a construction zone when Lara’s 2001 Freightliner failed to stop and struck the rear of Solze’s pickup. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch at about 4:45 Tuesday afternoon 3.6 miles north of the 160 and 83 junction.
