Cottonwood Elementary recently hosted its highly anticipated Annual Archery Competition on March 6th, 2025, bringing together young archers from three surrounding schools—MacArthur Elementary, Cottonwood Elementary, and Tyrone Elementary. The event showcased the skill and determination of 42 talented participants.
The competition consisted of three rounds, with each archer shooting five arrows from a distance of 10 meters. Throughout the tournament, students displayed impressive focus and precision, making for an exciting and closely contested event.
Spectators, including teachers, parents, and fellow students, cheered on the participants, adding to the tournament’s spirited atmosphere. The event not only highlighted the students’ hard work and practice but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and sportsmanship among the competing schools.
In the team standings, Cottonwood Elementary claimed first place with an impressive score of 676. Tyrone Elementary secured second place with a score of 556, while MacArthur Elementary finished in third place with a score of 483.
Cottonwood Elementary looks forward to continuing this tradition in the years to come, encouraging young archers to develop their skills and passion for the sport. The school is also eager to expand the competition by inviting surrounding schools that may be interested in joining, further growing the event and fostering a larger community of young archers.
