Contreras Scores 30 in Senior Night Win

Hailey Contreras scored 30 points as the Liberal Lady Redskins enjoyed a Senior Night win 57-15 over Garden City Tuesday night in the Big House.  The game was played with a running clock in the 4th quarter.  Liberal shot 51% from the field while the Lady Buffaloes were 4-32 for 13%.  GCHS had 23 turnovers.

The Lady Red led 10-7 after one.  LHS out scored GCHS 19-0 in the second quarter to lead 29-7 at the half.  Liberal used an overall run of 23-0 to lead 32-7 in the third quarter.  It was 48-12 after three.

Hailey Contreras was Epic Touch Player of the Game with 30 points and six steals on 11-18 shooting.

It’s Liberal 11th straight home win against the Lady Buffaloes.  LHS has won 18 of the last 19 in the series.

Garden City is 9-11 and finishes 1-7 in the WAC.  Liberal is 13-6 overall and 4-3 in the WAC.  Liberal plays at Dodge City Thursday night at 6pm with Redskin Pre-game at 5:45 on 1270 and 92.3.
