Colby Clobbers Lady Skins

Colby used a smothering 1-3-1 defense to stymie Liberal’s girls in a 45-23 Colby win at Colby High School Saturday afternoon. The win gives Colby (7-4) third place in their tournament while the Lady Skins go 1-2 in Colby. The Lady Eagles built a 22-9 halftime lead and led 36-15 after three quarters. Megan Besecker scored nine and Jai Chapman added eight in the loss. Liberal is 4-8 and plays at Scott City Friday night at 6:30 on Talkradio 1270 and kscbnews.net.
