Seward County sophomore catcher Marisa Coats has been
named the KJCCC Player of the Week for the second time this season after
hitting .391 this week for the Lady Saints and picking up at least one
hit in 6 of 7 games. On Saturday against Crowder the sophomore catcher
hit her team leading 8th home run of the season and backed it up Sunday
with a 4 for 4, 2 double, 4 RBI effort against Maple Woods. She is
currently leading the team in batting average, hits, doubles, home runs,
slugging percentage, and OPS. Coats will look to continue swinging the
bat well as she and her Lady Saints take on Colby today at 3:00 at Lady
Saints Field.
