Cline Looks for Liberal’s Improvement in State

Liberal head track and field coach Caleb Cline says his goal for this weekend’s state track and field meet in Wichita is to show improvement. The Redskin boys took 5th in the state last year and the girls were 21st. Here are Liberal’s state qualifiers and their placement at regionals in Wichita last week.

Boys

110 Hurdles- Trenton Hammond 1st (14.89), Ayodale Braimah 2nd (15.20), and Adebayo Braimah 4th (15.40)

300 Hurdles- Adebayo Braimah 1st (39.00), Trenton Hammond 2nd (40.37), and Ayodale Braimah 3rd (41.10)

Discus- Justin McPhail 1st 159’9"

4×400- 2nd 3:27 Trenton Hammond, Michael Sena, Irving Altamirano, and Adebayo Braimah

4×100- 3rd 44.45 Trenton Hammond, Christian Torres, Michael Sena, and Irving Altamirano

Shot Put- Justin McPhail 3rd

Javelin- Nolan Larkin 3rd 155′ and Britton Abbott 4th 148′

4×800- 4th 8:31 Fidel Munoz, Ricardo Bustos, Eric Minjarez, and Mershek Wiltshire

High Jump- Trenton Wilson 4th 6′

Girls
