City of Guymon declares Water Emergency

The City of Guymon has declared a Stage 3 Water Emergency under the 2024 Water Conservation Plan due to extreme heat conditions.

Part of the Water Emergency includes restrictions on outdoor lawn irrigation. Residents are only allowed to water their outdoor lawns one day a week.

According to the City of Guymon, odd numbered addresses may water their lawns on Saturday and even numbered addresses may water on Sunday. Residents must water after 7 p.m. and before 11 a.m.

Residents can water their gardens and ornamentals by hand at any time. This does not include grass or turf.
