The City of Liberal has launched a new online tool to allow residents to report problems, such as potholes, drainage concerns, park maintenance needs and more. Residents can report the location of a problem using basic information without the need to set up a website account or use an email address.
“Our mission is to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for all our residents. While our crews are out working consistently to make improvements across the city, we know there are times when residents will spot a problem before we do,” Scarlette Diseker, City Manager, said.
The reporting form is intended for non-urgent concerns. For an emergency situation requiring police, fire, medical, or other urgent emergency response, residents are asked to dial 9-1-1. Information provided is transmitted by email to the appropriate department heads and administrators, so residents are asked not to enter sensitive identifying information.
“We kept the form brief and easy to fill out, especially for residents using mobile devices,” Chief Communications Officer, Keeley Moree, said. “This is a fantastic way for residents to send us information ‘in the moment’ so we can quickly address issues. Contact information provided will allow us to follow up on concerns or ask more questions, if needed.”
