Joe Denoyer - August 27, 2024 6:38 pm

The Liberal City Commission met Monday evening, and after a Public Hearing, adopted Resolution No. 2419, to levy a property tax rate exceeding the Revenue Neutral Rate for the budget year 2025.

The Commission also approved the Memorandum of Water Purchase Agreement with Toro Green Fuels, LLC, and authorized the Mayor and City Manager to negotiate and finalize the terms of the agreement. This allows for the sale of reclaimed water from the City’s wastewater treatment plant to Toro Green Fuels, LLC, a private entity, engaged in renewable energy development.

Title VI was approved by the Commission, as is annually, by City Commissioners, per KDOT regulations to qualify for grants.
