The City of Plains’ Lions Club will be presenting its annual Christmasing in Plains Sunday. The theme is “A Dr Seuss Christmas”
SUNDAY: WIZZYWIG Craft and Gift Show from noon to 6 p.m. at the Plains Community Building. The Lions will serve a traditional holiday ham meal at noon. Also there will be a presentation of the Parade Marshals and the Snowflake King and Queen
. 1 p.m. – Bellas will be performing at the Community Building.
1:30 p.m. – PET PARADE on the walking trail in the City Park.
3:15 p.m. – PARADE LINE UP Lineup is one block north of the Methodist church. Prizes awarded in four categories; open floats, religious and non-profits floats, antique vehicles and antique tractors including farm implements.
3:45 p.m. – JUDGING DEADLINE 4 p.m. –
PARADE 2015 PARADE MARSHALS are Mickey and Larry Winfrey.
The SNOWFLAKE KING and QUEEN are: King – Max Carter, son of Justin and Casey Swank Queen – Caitlin Bernabe, daughter of Emeterion and Minerva Bernabe
The LIONS KIDDY TRAIN. The Lions Club’s train will be available after the parade for kids rides.
4:30 p.m. – VISIT WITH SANTA AND MRS. CLAUS AND TREATS in the Plains Community Building.
Also in The Community Building will be: CHILI; Enjoy a hot bowl of tasty chili that the Lions will be serving to warm people up after the parade.
MERCHANTS DRAWINGS; Winners names will be listed at the Lions table.
HAY SCRAMBLE; for kid’s ages: under 4; 5 to 6; and 7 to 8 years old.
USED EYE GLASSES will be collected at the Lions table in the Plains Community Building at the park. Help the Lions help others with sight problems.
WIZZYWIG Booths: Many Gift and Craft booths. Come shop for a one of a kind Christmas gift.
The INFORMATION CENTER will be in the Plains Community Building at the park.
