Charges Filed In Ulysses Double Homicide

Attorney General Steve Six announced today that Grant County Attorney Robin Hathaway filed charges against Marco Lomas (DOB 2/6/86) of Ulysses in the death of Marcos and Hilda Garcia on August 30, 2008.

Lomas was charged with one count capital murder for killing the couple during same act. He was also charged with Aggravated Burglary for entering their home with the intent to commit a felony.

First appearance is scheduled for tomorrow, August 25 at 1:00 p.m. in Ulysses. The Attorney General’s Office will be handling the prosecution and all media inquiries should be directed to their office.

These are only allegations and Lomas is innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
