After being named to the All-KJCCC West First Team a week ago, both Cameron Cartwright and Kotaro Wakui added another accolade to their resume as they were named to the All-Region Second Team for Region 6 on Tuesday, May 28th.

Cartwright earned All-Region Second Team honors for the second straight season after going .352 at the plate with 68 hits and scoring 57 runs as a sophomore. He also recorded 15 doubles, 11 home runs, and 42 RBIs in his second year with Seward County as a leader in the outfield for the Saints.

Kotaro Wakui, who was the second player named to the All-Region Second Team after going .388 at the plate in his first year with SCCC while connecting on 45 hits and scoring 36 runs. He added 12 doubles, 4 home runs, and 31 RBIs while taking on a key role for Seward County late in the season.

“Excited for these two guys and the way they represent Seward County Baseball” said Head Coach Mike Davidson. They put in the work every day and it has paid off for them in being named all region. I am really happy for these two young men and excited to see what their future holds in baseball. Great accomplishment.”
