There will be a change at the top of the Liberal Bee Jay organization during the summer of 2018.  Mike Carlile stepped down as the Bee Jay general manager and Roy Allen stepped down as director of baseball operations during the Bee Jay meeting Tuesday night.  Carlile stepped in for his father Bob Carlile in 2012 and has been the GM the past six years.  Allen stepped in to recruit the Bee Jay teams and coaches the past two summers.  Both will leave the board of directors.  It is not known yet who will serve as the team’s GM moving forward although board member and former Seward and Mississippi State pitcher Corey Collins will serve as the team’s recruiting coordinator.  The team’s president Nathan McCaffrey remains on the board. The board still easily meets it’s maximum of 15 board members so replacements will likely be determined soon.   The Bee Jays went 31-17-1 this season and were 30-12 in the Jayhawk League for a league title.  The team was 0-3 in the NBC World Series.
