USD 480’s very own, Mr. Ismael Carrillo was recognized at the Kansas State Department of Education 2024 Kansas Teacher of the Year ceremony this past Saturday, in Salina.

Mr. Carrillo teaches math at Liberal High School and was USD 480’s nomination for Kanas Secondary Teacher of the Year.

Nominations for this distinction were submitted by parents, community members, and USD 480 employees in March 2022.
