A Holcomb man is in the hospital after driving a car off a bridge embankment near Ulysses Monday afternoon. Twenty-seven year old Christopher James of Holcomb was taken to Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses then flown to Wesley Hospital in Wichita with injuries. James was driving a 1996 Ford Pickup west on Patterson Road about one mile east of Ulysses. His car drifted into the south ditch where it drove over a bridge embankment and rolled until striking a telephone pole. The crash occurred at about 3:50 p.m. Monday afternoon.
