The woman creating a sculpture out of
700 pounds of recycled butter for the Kansas State Fair says don’t
even bother asking her what she’s creating.
Two weeks before the Sept. 9 start of the fair, sculptor Sharon
BuMann says she doesn’t intend to tell anyone what the butter will
become.
She’s working in an artist’s studio behind paper-covered windows
in the Pride of Kansas Building. The only thing she’ll say is that
the finished sculpture will not be anything seen at previous fairs.
