The #7 Butler volleyball team started strongly and finished strongly in beating #10 Seward Saturday afternoon at the Power Plant in El Dorado.  Seward lost 14-25, 22-25, 25-20, 25-16, 6-15.  With the loss, Seward falls into third in the Jayhawk at 4-2 while Butler stays on top of the conference at 5-0.  Seyun Park led Seward offensively with 12 kills and Sarah Cruz added 11 kills.  Skylar Wyllie had 10 kills.  Berfin Mertcan had 46 assists.  Michell Jerez had 21 digs.  Seward hit .206 while Butler hit .180.  Butler had 161 total attacks to Seward’s 141.

Seward falls to 11-4 overall and 4-2 in the Jayhawk while Butler improved to 5-0 in the league and 19-2 overall.  Seward hosts Hutchinson Tuesday night at 6:30 in the Green House.
