Bridge Replacement To Begin In Ford County

The Kansas Department of Transportation expects work to begin on Monday, June 23, on a bridge replacement project on K-94 in Ford County. The bridge is located a little over 2 miles south of U.S. 54 and carries K-94 over the West Fork of Rattlesnake Creek.

The first phase will consist of building a shoofly to carry traffic around the bridge during the project. Drivers should be alert for construction vehicles moving across the highway. Slow down, pay attention to all work zone warning signs and be prepared to stop.

Klaver Construction Co., Inc., of Kingman, is the primary contractor on this $476-thousand bridge replacement project. KDOT expects all work to be completed by the end of August, depending on weather.
