According to the Kansas Department of Transportation, work will resume on the U.S. 54 bridge located three miles west of the west Meade city limits on Monday, March 31.
A traffic change is necessary to allow the bridge repair work to take place. Temporary traffic signals will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone. Motorists should expect minimal delays, and signs and cones will mark the 12-foot width restriction that will be in effect.
PBX Corporation & Subsidiary, of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, is the contractor on this $847,656.44 project, which is expected to be completed by the end of spring, weather permitting.
