There are still booth spaces available at both the Cinco de Mayo Street Dance on Saturday, May 5, and the Cinco de Mayo Festival at the Seward County Activity Center, May 6.

The Cinco de Mayo Street Dance will be from 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday at the parking lot east of the Rock Island Depot. Electricity will be available but businesses and organizations will have to provide their own tables and chairs. Cost is $50 for businesses and free for non-profits. “We hope to have food vendors, drink vendors and see this as a great opportunity for a non-profit fundraiser," said Kay Burtzloff, who is coordinating the booths for the Cinco de Mayo Committee. Those interested in having a booth at the dance should contact Burtzloff, 624-5400 or email [email protected]

The Cinco de Mayo Festival will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, May 6, at the Seward County Activity Center and tables and chairs will be provided in the booths. Electricity also will be available. Cost is $150 for businesses and free to non-profits. For more information and to reserve a space, contact Burtzloff at 624-5400 or email [email protected].

"We always have a large crowd at the Cinco de Mayo Festival," said Burtzloff, "so this is an excellent opportunity to have an information booth, a fun activity for the kids or a fundraiser," she said.
