Bleachers Discussed at County Commission Meeting

The Seward County Commissioners met Monday evening and at the Sheriff’s request tabled the Jail Security Control System issue until the meeting scheduled for May 20th. The Sheriff would like to review the offers more thoroughly before making a final decision.
Commissioners accepted the bid from Chrysler Corner for a Dodge pickup came at $47,206.00 for the Waste Haul Foreman at the Landfill. The Commission also approved moving forward and to approve the two proposals for service with Kaw Valley and GMCN on the Bleacher Project.
On the Water Tank Project, the Commissioners heard an update from the Project Manager and decided to scrap the project.
Board of County Commissioners appointed Randy Altman as the County’s delegate to the Kansas Silver Haired Legislature and approved the $25.00 application fee. They also approved the $100.00 to the Kansas Silver Haired Legislature for the county’s delegate.
The Board also appointed two applicants – Eric Volden and Karla Morales Escarcega to the Seward County Five-State Fair Board.
