BJ Reliever Signs with Shockers

Liberal Bee Jay reliever Ray Ashford signed at Wichita State recently. Ashford pitched this summer for the 30-17 BJ’s and became the team’s closer during the NBC World Series. The Sachse, Texas was 1-0 with two saves and a 2.90 ERA. He registered 40 strikeouts and 16 walks. The Grayson County Community College pitcher was 1-0 with a save at the NBC World Series.
