A bill allowing pregnant women to use

handicap parking spaces in the final months of pregnancy is among

the measures signed into law by Oklahoma Gov. Brad Henry.

Henry signed 17 measures on Monday, including one permitting

pregnant women to obtain a temporary placard from a physician that

allows them to use handicap parking spaces.

Among the other bills was one that would allow an Oklahoma state

flag to be sent to the surviving spouse or parent of an Oklahoma

military member killed in the line of duty.

Other bills signed Monday would create an additional $3 vehicle

registration for motorcycles to be used for education programs and

increase the age limit for commissioned Oklahoma Highway Patrol

officers from 43 to 49.
