Bee Jays squander lead in ninth to lose

The Liberal Bee Jays were not able to hold on to a 3-2 lead in the ninth Tuesday at Larks Park as they dropped the game 4-3 to Hays.

Don Lisi ended up with a no decision as he went 7.2 innings striking out three and walking no one just giving up two runs.

Aaron Mees and Tanner Rindels hit home runs for the Bee Jays. It was Mees first of the year and Rindels fourth.

Hays improves to 7-7 in the Jayhawk league. The Bee Jays drop to 13-12 overall, and 7-9 in the league.

Both teams will square off again tonight at 7 p.m. in Hays. The game can be heard on 1270 AM and kscb.net.
