Bee Jays Open 2019 Season with a “W”

The Liberal Bee Jays were victorius Friday evening in their home opener against the Kansas Cannons. The Bee Jays put 8 runs on the board to outscore the Cannons 8-3.   This was a 2-1 Bee Jay lead until the guys from Augusta scored two in the top of the fifth for a 3-2 lead.  Liberal answered with one in the fifth to tie and two in the sixth to lead 5-3.  The BJ’s added one in the seventh and two in the eighth.  Corbin Truslow was 3-5 with a homer over the center field wall.  Trevor Pruitt pitched four scoreless innings.  Riley Bost went four innings allowing one run.

The Bee Jays continue play this afternoon with a double header against the Cannons beginning at 4:00pm. Windtree Management is the Buyot Sponsor of the early contest while KSCB and the Legend will be sponsoring the nightcap. Prizes will be given away at both games.
