The Liberal Bee Jays lost their second straight game in El Dorado as they were defeated by the Broncos 4-3 Tuesday.

The Bee Jays had a 2-0 lead until the sixth inning when El Dorado pushed a run across. The Broncos then scored two in the seventh to take a 3-2 lead. Liberal tied the game though in the eighth on an Aaron Mees solo home run. However, the Broncos scored the go ahead run in the eighth and held on for the victory.

Brett Davis got a no decision as he pitched 6 1/3 innings striking out five.

El Dorado stays atop the Jayhawk League standings at 14-7, while the Bee Jays drops to 9-12 in the league.

The Bee Jays will have Wednesday off before hosting the Hutchinson Monarchs Thursday at 7 p.m.
