Bee Jays Head South After Loss to Western Nebraska

The Liberal Bee Jays wrapped up their five game road trip in Nebraska with a 4-3 loss to the Western Nebraska Pioneers Saturday night in Gering.  The Pioneers sweep the two game series.  The B.J.’s got off to a strong start scoring three in the first.  The Pioneers answered with three of their own in the first.  Western Nebraska scored the decisive run in the fourth.  The Bee Jays out-hit the Pioneers 7-1.  However, the Bee Jays committed four errors and the B.J. starting pitcher walked six.  Owen May was 3-4 in the loss.  Adrian Najar kept the Bee Jays in the game working four shutout and hit less innings of relief.  He had four strikeouts and no walks.

Western Nebraska is 7-3 and Liberal is 4-2.  The Bee Jays host the Hays Larks Monday night at 7pm with Bee Jay Dugout Show at 6:45 on 1270 and 92.3.  State Farm-Crystal Kinsinger is the buyout sponsor.
