Bee Jays Ground Angels

The Liberal Bee Jays were much more impressive in night number two. The Bee Jays put together all facets of their game in a 7-0 win over the Owasso Angels at Brent Gould Field Thursday night. Liberal out-hit the Halos 10-4 in the win.

The Bee Jays kept the pressure on scoring two in the first, two in the third, one in the fourth, and two in the seventh.

Seward’s Austin King pitched four scoreless innings for the Jays without allowing a hit. Nicholls State right hander Chris Miller pitched four scoreless innings with five strikeouts and got out of a bases loaded jam in the fifth. Texas State’s Justin Dellinger pitched a scoreless ninth.

Yavapai’s Austin Murphy led the BJ hit parade with a 3-4 outing and two RBI’s including a shot to center which hit the direct top of the wall.

Liberal is 2-0 and Owasso is 2-2. The Angels travel to El Dorado to play the Broncos the next two days and return to play the BJ’s Sunday night at 7 p.m. Windtree Management is the buyout sponsor.
