The Liberal Bee Jays Opens their Jayhawk League season with a three game road sweep. Liberal thumped the Haysville Aviators 16-4 Thursday night in Haysville.

Hayden Udall pitches six strong innings for the win allowed two runs and two hits. Zac Bridger went three innings for the Jays. The BJ’S out hit the Aviators 13-3.

The Bee Jays played three in he second as Sean Arnold and Boone Montgomery provided RBI singles and Arnold scored on a wild pitch. Brock Burton doubled home a run in the third for a 4-0 lead. Two Jayhawks Tom Lichty and  Brett Vosik hit RBI singles and Arnold hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth for 7-0 lead. Liberal scored eight in the fifth as the Aviators walked six in the inning.  Dane Simon and Montgomery doubled  home tallies and Lichty singled home a run. Vosik, Arnold, and Burton walked with the bases loaded. Lichty doubled home a run in the eighth. Lichty and Vosik has three hits a piece and Lichty drove home three runs.

The Bee Jays have won five straight at Haysville and are 5-1 overall and 3-0 in the Jayhawk League. Haysville is 2-4 and 0-3.  Liberal plays at Derby tonight at 7 with pregame at 6:45 on 1270 and kscbnews.net.
