Beaver will be one of just a few sites in the state to host a Women in Agriculture Conference. The Beaver Women in Ag conference will be on Nov. 14 and will highlight local issues for women operators and land owners. “But this conference is not just for women,” Liz Gardner-McBee, Beaver Co Extension Educator said. “Anyone interested in agriculture is encouraged to attend.”

The Women in Ag Conference will be on Wednesday, November 14th at the Beaver County fair building. The one-day conference will begin with registration at 9:15 am, provides lunch catered by Hunny’s BBQ, and wraps up by 3pm. This meeting will offer a variety of sessions, with topics ranging from agriculture leases to wind energy and transmission lines to IFMAPS. Participants will be engaged in improving skills to manage their business risks.

There will not be a registration fee, as all events will be complimentary. For more information, please call the Beaver County OSU Extension Office at 580-625-3464.
