A personal injury collision occurred Tuesday morning at approximately 1:32am approximately 1/4 south of Kansas state line in Beaver County.
A 2021 Penske Freightliner driven by Justin Emerson, 22, of Fort Smith, Arkansas was traveling north on OK-23. when he departed the left side of the roadway to avoid a deer. Emerson then overcorrected coming back on the roadway and overturned one and a quarter times onto the driver side, coming to rest in the roadway blocking the northbound lane of traffic. Emersone was transported by Beaver County EMS to Beaver Memorial Hospitaland was admitted in stable condition with trunk external injuries.
