The Barton Cougars took two over the Seward County Saints Saturday afternoon at French Family Field. Barton won 10-1 and 8-0.
In game one, the Saints scored a run in the first for the lead. The Cougars scored in the second. That 1-1 score stood until the fifth when Barton scored seven runs. They added two in the sixth.
Barton started fast in game two scoring four in the first and two in the second. Barton plated two in the fifth for the run rule after five.
Barton is 22-13 overall and 15-3 in the Jayhawk. Seward has lost eight in a row and falls to 12-24 overall and 7-13 in the KJCCC. The Saints play at Dodge City on Wednesday at 2pm at Legends Park.
