Austin Mullens is Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week

Liberal junior Austin Mullens is the Mead Lumber Athlete of the Week.  The hurdler and mid distance runner won gold at Hutchinson last week in the 300 hurdles (39.06) and the 4×400 relay (3:25) while taking second in the 110 hurdles in a season best 14.32.  He won state in the 400 last year and won that event at pre- state in Wichita earlier this season at 49.96.  His best time in the 300 hurdles was 38.05 at Winfield.  He and the Redskins compete at Goddard on Friday.
