Ashanti Thompson Signs at McPherson

LIBERAL, Kan. – Seward County Softball sees another student-athlete sign on to their four-year school as All-KJCCC/Region VI Honorable Mention outfielder Ashanti Thompson signs with McPherson College in Kansas.

Ashanti Thompson, the Phoenix, AZ native is heading further East as she has decided to sign with McPherson College an NAIA institution in McPherson, KS. After two seasons with the Saints, Thompson finished her career with a .381 batting average with 5 homeruns, 24 RBIs and 10 doubles. In the field, Thompson holds a career .889 fielding percentage with 46 putouts and 10 assists in 63 total chances. Thompson was also featured in the pitching circle for the Saints and pitched a total of 50 innings while striking out 28 hitters finishing with a career 8.54 ERA.

We are excited for Ashanti to continue her academic and athletic journey and we know she will represent Seward County well throughout her time at McPherson.
